BGC Growers – Greenhouse Tech Job Description
BGC Growers is a family owned, wholesale grower with over 96,000 sq. ft. of heated greenhouses. We produce a large range of products, including summer annuals, vegetables, houseplants, seasonal Garden Mums and holiday Poinsettias.
Job Overview & Responsibilities (not limited to) :
- Help manage logistics of our growing operations, including record keeping and adherence to production schedules.
- Maintain inventory of grower containers and supplies
- Maintain plant collections – Cultivate, propagate, fertilize, prune, transplant
- Communicate with team – Maintain a positive atmosphere, while ensuring all tasks are complete and standards are being met.
Position Requirements include (not limited to):
- 2 years Horticultural Experience Required.
- Valid Driver License.
- Able to perform physical tasks, such as lifting, standing, and walking all day
- Able to lift 40lb and stand for long periods of time
- Greenhouse pesticide application license or ability to get one.
- Basic computer skills

Salary & Benefits:
- Starting at $18-$22. Salary based on experience. Willing to discuss.

- Average 40 hours per week. More hours required in Spring and fewer during other times year.
Schedule and Working Days:
- Day Shift: Monday – Saturday
- 8-hour Shift
- Some weekends
